The Tools-folder is a powerful accessory adding greater functionality to MPLAY.
In this folder you can add applications, or aliases to applications (such as ID3 tag-editors, file-converters etc). These programs are then made accessible through MPLAYs Tools-menu (the far right menu item). Items in the Tools folder may be normal applications, as well as specific MPLAY-tools (written by me or someone else*).
This is how it works:
ΓÇó Create a folder inside MPLAYs folder and name it Tools
ΓÇó Put applications (or aliases) in the folder. Launch MPLAY
ΓÇó Select an item in the playlist and choose your desired tool from the Tools-menu.
ΓÇó This will launch the application and load the file you selected in the playlist.
ΓÇó When finished, quit the application and you will automatically return to MPLAY.
For MP3-files you may want to use tools such as ID3-tag editors, audioformat-converters, etc. For movies you may want to use tools such as filmeditors, de-multiplexers etc, and for images tools such as paint-programs and image-converters may be useful. Specific tools for MPLAY will be developed for various functions (check the MPLAY website for Tools).
The QuickReference is, in fact, handled as a Tool by MPLAY. Removing it from the Tools folder will remove the function from within MPLAY.
